Environments and Endpoints (OTE and Production) FAQs

This guide provides technical connection details for Radix on TRS, including OTE and Production endpoints for EPP, WHOIS, RDAP, and the Registrar Console. It also clarifies environment usage and when production access becomes available. Use this document when configuring or validating your integration.

Q: What environments exist for Radix on TRS?

A: Radix provides an OTE (Operational Test & Evaluation) environment and Production.

Q: What are the Radix OTE endpoints?

  • EPP: epp.ote.radix.host (TCP 700)
  • Registrar Console: https://console.ote.radix.host
  • WHOIS: whois.ote.radix.host (TCP 43)
  • RDAP: https://rdap.ote.radix.host/rdap

Q: What are the Radix Production endpoints?

  • EPP: epp.radix.host (TCP 700)
  • Registrar Console: https://console.radix.host
  • WHOIS: whois.radix.host (TCP 43)
  • RDAP: https://rdap.radix.host/rdap

Q: When will production console access be available?

A: The transition guide indicates the production console becomes available after the transition is complete.

Testing and go-live readiness

Q: Do we have to test in OTE before transition?

A: It’s strongly encouraged. The transition guide warns that skipping onboarding/testing can result in connection issues, operational delays, and higher support needs during go-live.

Q: What should we test in OTE at minimum?

A: Recommended minimum OTE testing includes: create, renew & restore, transfer (in/out), updates (nameservers/contacts/locks), delete & restore, and glue/host operations (if applicable).

Connection Limits

Q: What is the maximum number of EPP connections allowed in production?
A: The maximum number of concurrent EPP connections per registrar in production is 100.

EPP Extensions and Version Support

Q: Which versions of the Domains Fee Extension are supported?
A: Support for the Domains Fee Extension 1.0 has been deployed to Radix OTE for registrar testing. Both version 0.7 and version 1.0 are currently supported in OTE.
