Radix Registry Environments

This article provides an overview of the Radix registry environments hosted on Tucows Registry Services. It outlines the available Operational Test & Evaluation (OTE) and production systems, including EPP endpoints, registrar consoles, and WHOIS/RDAP services, to help configure, test, and prepare integrations ahead of the Radix transition.

New registrars to Tucows Registry Services

New registrars will receive an onboarding email from Tucows containing:

  • OTE credentials
  • Certificates
  • System access details

Important: The onboarding link expires 30 days from the date it is sent.

New registrars must:

  1. Access and download the onboarding details before the link expires
  2. Log in to the Radix OTE environment
  3. Test required EPP commands

Existing Tucows registrars

If you already work with Tucows Registry Services for other TLDs:

  • Your existing EPP and Registrar Console user credentials will be copied from tucowsregistry.com environment to the Radix OTE and production environments
  • Use your existing EPP client certificates to connect to the RADIX EPP servers (OT&E and Production environments use different certificates)

Production environments are not live yet. Tucows will notify registrars when production access is available when transition is complete.

Registrar Action: OTE Onboarding and Testing

To support a smooth transition, registrars are strongly encouraged to onboard and test in the Radix OTE (Operational Test & Evaluation) environment ahead of transition.

Testing is critical to ensure your systems are fully compatible with Tucows Registry Services before production go-live, especially if you do not currently manage other TLDs on the Tucows platform.

Registrars who do not complete onboarding and testing may experience:

  • Connection issues post-transition
  • Delays in domain operations
  • Increased support requirements during go-live

Radix Registry Environments

OTE (Operational Test & Evaluation)

OTE Environment is already available and will not be affected by the transition.

Production

Recommended OTE Testing

At a minimum, registrars should test the following operations in OTE:

  • Domain create
  • Renew and restore
  • Transfer (in and out)
  • Domain updates (nameservers, contacts, locks)
  • Delete and restore
  • Glue / host object operations (if applicable)
